Complete Well Inspections for Existing Homes and New Construction

Bohs Well Drilling provides complete well and water system inspections for existing homes or new construction. We can let you know the condition of your well, how many gallons per minute it is producing, and the state of your well pump and storage tank. We can also check to ensure the well provides you and your family with the cleanest water. Well inspections are highly suggested when purchasing a new property or selling your home. To ensure the well is in top working condition, have your real estate agent call us to schedule a well inspection.

Why is a Well Inspection Important?

Owning a private household water well allows homeowners to control their water supply. Ownership also comes with keeping the well in good working order. The National Ground Water Association recommends routine annual inspections to ensure the proper operation of the well and equipment. Bohs Well Drilling provides inspections that can help ensure your well is operating properly, prolong its useful life, and protect your investment. Our inspections can also protect your home by discovering issues that could result in equipment failures and leaks that could lead to major health and safety risks.

What Does Our Inspection Include?

We are fully licensed and certified to perform complete water well system inspections. Our inspections include:

  • A flow test to determine system output, a check of the water level before and during pumping (if possible), pump motor performance (check amp load, grounding, and line voltage), and pressure tank and pressure switch contact.
  • An inspection of well equipment to assure that it is secure and meets local code requirements.
  • A test of your water for bacteria, coliform, and nitrates when dealing with a property transfer. This is not performed by Bohs or Maurer Well services but is required. Please contact your local lab for any questions or needs.
  • A concise, clear, written report following the checkup that explains results and recommendations. This includes a clear and detailed description of pricing.
